Rights and Responsibilties Policy

To set out the rights and responsibilities of clients, families, and Peninsula Therapy Hub staff, ensuring safe, respectful, and effective therapy.

Your Rights

  • Be treated with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.

  • Receive safe, high-quality, evidence-based therapy.

  • Participate in all decisions about your supports.

  • Privacy and confidentiality of your information.

  • Access to your records within legal limits.

  • Provide feedback or make a complaint without fear of retaliation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Treat staff and other clients with respect and courtesy.

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information relevant to therapy.

  • Attend appointments on time or give at least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation.

  • Remain on-site during your child’s session, as stated in the Service Agreement

  • Inform Peninsula Therapy Hub of changes to contact details, consent status, or funding.

  • Pay fees as outlined in the Service Agreement and cover any gap if NDIS funding is insufficient

Our Responsibilities

  • Deliver services in accordance with the NDIS Act 2013, Practice Standards, and Victorian laws.

  • Keep you informed of service changes with at least 28 days’ notice of fee adjustments

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment.

  • Protect your personal information as per the Privacy Policy.
